New 2015 UFO Sighting

UFO Sighting in Basalt, Colorado on 2019-01-31 17:30:00 - Looking at planes with my oberwerk bt-100-45 binoculars with ff23.9 mm lens passed over a light that should not have been visible at sunset if a star or planet

I was watching planes at sunset when i passed over a stationary light. it would not have been visible if it were a star or planet. i watched the object for 30 minutes. it was primarily stationary but its apparent movement was west to east. i looked at my astronomy apps and it would have been at where neptune was, but of course there was no way that i could have seen neptune. i was using oberwerk b-100-45 binoculars with a 23.9 mm eyepiece. i was able to see the object in the spotting scope also, but i could not see it unaided. as i watched the object divided into two objects. one dropping from the original. the dropping object had what looked like a smoke trail. the new object had blinking lights. after they separated they were visible for a minute or so, then both went out. i kept scanning the sky, but saw nothing. when it became dark, there were no stars or objects anywhere in the sector were the objects were sigthed. when i originally passed over the object i thought that it may be a bright star or planet that was just bright enough to be seen under magnafication. when i looked at my astronomy apps there was nothing in the area where i observed the object. at the end of the sighting the objects just disappeared. the smoke trail was visible until they disappeared...I did not notice if the smoke trail lingered.
